Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (TTP)

 

 

Seventeen research centers, organized by Dr. Charles Bennett at Northwestern University, have joined to recruit, enroll, and collect data from patients who have developed this rare hematological disorder. The purpose of the study is to improve the understanding of TTP and thus facilitate future clinical actions and public policy for TTP care. Specific objectives include development of reliable diagnostic laboratory testing to confirm the diagnosis. We plan to recruit a total of 350 patients through the participating centers.
