Overview

Members of our program provide primary and consultative care for patients with various hemorrhagic and thrombotic disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis. In addition, we direct the anticoagulation management service at Duke, supervise a pharmacy-based program for management of hemostatic and antithrombotic agents in inpatients, and direct the Clinical Coagulation and Platelet Antibody Laboratory services. We also provide pre- and post-operative care for patients with complex coagulopathies, as well as evaluate and manage women with bleeding and clotting disorders during pregnancy. We are a leading referral center for patients with these types of disorders.
